Genesis was launched in February 1997 as Britton Silberman &
Cervantez LLP. The Firm quickly gained recognition for its roster
of high-profile technology clients and innovative approach to client
service. We were one of the first firms to anticipate San Francisco’s
“dot com” boom, and also hosted some of the city’s
original Internet parties. We were lauded by numerous magazines
and newspapers, trade journals, online publications, and even a
documentary film.
Most importantly the Firm left its mark on San Francisco and Silicon
Valley, helping clients produce groundbreaking technologies as well
as hundreds of millions of dollars in private wealth. The firm undertook
projects for large public companies as well as brand new start-ups,
and either built or played a crucial early role in smaller companies
such as Razorfish, Rare Medium, Novo/Ironlight, OpenTable, Digital
Courrier, The Big Network, Backflip.com, and On24. Over the years
the Firm has represented more than 300 other small companies in
the fields of software, hardware, construction, entertainment, professional
services, Internet content, finance, and product distribution.
In June 2000 the Firm’s attorneys joined forces with a major
nationwide law firm. In November 2002, the Firm launched again as
an independent practice.
